Dr. Sanjeev Kumar was ordered last month to close Poplar Avenue Clinic Women’s Health & Med Spa after facing a 23-count indictment accusing him of illegal sexual acts and medical misconduct. In court on Monday, his attorneys argued he needed to get back to his patients. They claim he’s one of only 300 specialists who can perform very specific surgeries nationwide.
