By Steve Rimmer| DirtFish@ Anybody who knows me knows I have a real love of Porsches. I used to stand and wait at an intersection close to home when I was young. I knew the owner of a 911 and I knew what time they went and came home from work. Every day, I stared. There’s always been something about the shape and, of course, that flat-six sound. Well, time has very much moved on. I’m fortunate enough to own some Porsches now and when the opportunity came for this very special 964 RSR, I was definitely interested.
By Steve Rimmer| DirtFish@ Being offered a ride in a Rally1 car is like being handed a winning lottery ticket. It’s an experience money simply can’t buy. Standing in the changing room, I was suited, booted and helmeted. Ready to go. While the heavy rain got heavier. And heavier. The stage was stopped. Then cancelled. Twelve months ago, a storm ripped through Goodwood and stopped the show on Saturday. I missed my ride.
