  • Gas leak leads to Onalaska Middle School evacuation during construction project

School district spokesman Nick Ragner said the leak was triggered by a gas line that was inadvertently struck during a construction project. School district spokesman Nick Ragner said the evacuation was ordered "within minutes of this occurring."Ragner said Xcel Energy shut off gas to the middle school for the rest of the day
