It’s very hard for me to dislike a good romance anime. The more generic, the better. I think that’s why I really started liking Can a Boy-Girl Friendship Survive? midway through episode #2. That’s when all the good romance stuff started happening, anyway. That isn’t to say that episode #1 wasn’t good.

That’s a little too out there. But I can’t help myself. The correlations are there, and they’re pretty substantial. At the very least, it’s safe to say that The Too-Perfect Saint is definitely playing with the same ubiquitous tropes that defined the early episodes of My Happy Marriage.
