Airport officials reported the number of passengers flying Southwest Airlines, American Eagle and United climbed to 60,482 in March. That total is 8.1% higher than March 2023. The fiscal-year-to-date total jumped to 346,451 six months into fiscal year 2024.

  • Midland police help recover nearly $280k in stolen property

    By Stewart Doreen Verified| Midland Times@ Midland Police recently helped recover nearly $280,000 in stolen property that included multiple vehicles, ATVs, generators and a drone. The recovery of property followed MPD receiving information from the Midland County Sheriff’s Office and executing a search warrant in the 3200 block of Franklin Avenue. It was there that an MPD detective from the Auto Theft Unit recognized several additional items on the property he knew to have been reported as stolen.
