  • Moment house catches fire after being hit by LIGHTNING amid thunderstorms across Scotland

Emergency workers were deployed to the scene on Grampian View in Aviemore. Four fire engines and a height appliance were scrambled to the scene. Fortunately, no one was injured in the blaze. A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 10am on Monday, 12 August, to reports of a dwelling fire following a lightning strike on Grampian View, Aviemore.
