A member of the Society of American Travel Writers (SATW) since 1984, she specializes in cruises, foreign destinations, food & drink, culture. She particularly enjoys travel involving animals. She has roamed the Sahara by camel, toured the Alps by mule and interviewed a Komodo Dragon on the Indonesian island of Komodo. Susan has been a freelancer for 30 years. Her articles have been published in hundreds of major newspapers and glossy magazines. As far as she knows, she was the first person to write a book about tours of factories and industries called “MADE IN AMERICA.” Also a photographer, Susan’s photos almost always accompany her written words. She is based in Maine.
