After ranking at No. 3 on Zillow's list of the hottest housing markets for 2024, Columbus has dropped out of the top 10 in 2025. Columbus fell nine spots to No. 12 on Zillow's prediction for the hottest housing markets of 2025. Two other Ohio cities tumbled out of the top 10 as well. From its No. 2 ranking in 2024, Cincinnati also was down nine spots to No. 11 and Cleveland fell six spots to No. 14 from No. 8.

  • Macy's to close 66 stores nationwide, including some in Ohio - Columbus Business First

    By Susan Post Verified| Columbus Business First Verified Another major retailer is kicking off the new year by announcing nationwide store closures. Macy's Inc. Thursday announced it will close 66 locations nationwide. The closures are the second wave in a previously announced 150 stores the retailer plans to shutter by the end of 2026. Approximately 50 stores were closed in 2024. Two stores in Ohio made the list for 2025: an anchor store at the Mall at Fairfield Commons in the Dayton suburb of Beavercreek and at the Franklin Park Mall in Toledo.
