  • When you are aware, life is a movement of joy

By Swami Sukhabodhananda| The Times of India Verified Someone met me recently and said, “I find it difficult to listen to my spouse; he speaks so much, most of the time, I don’t understand what he is saying.” I told her, “Listening to your spouse is like reading the terms and conditions of a freeware you want to download from the internet. It is long, and you don’t understand much, but still you click on agree.” In the same way, to build a rapport with your spouse, just agree, and when he calms down, try to discuss.

  • Grow up, be responsible

By Swami Sukhabodhananda| Speaking Tree@ Let your actions not beg for happiness. When you beg for happiness, you position happiness in the future. Life happens in the present. Treat the present as a present and then you will be total in what you do. When you are total in what you do, then the “totality” brings “fullness” in what you are doing. I consider the work situation as a field for learning and, hence, it is a school. One has to be alert that the school is not a nursery.

  • Get liberated from the sticky groove

By Swami Sukhabodhananda| The Times of India Verified Put your life with its patterns into perspective; by doing this, you can enjoy the richness of life, within and with others. I knew someone who was generous, noble and talented. In spite of all this, he was stuck in a groove of his psychological pattern. His goodness did not fully enrich him, for he stuck to what he knew and what he had concluded. He was a victim of his social conditioning. He did not question his conclusions; in fact, he was trapped in his conclusions.
