Arbaeen, marking the 40th day of mourning for the martyrdom of Imam Hussein, the grandson of the Prophet Mohammed (PBUH), is one of the largest religious gatherings in the world and a significant event for Shia Muslims, particularly in Iraq and Iran. It was  be observed this year from the evening of Sunday (August 25) to Monday (August 26).
