Her journalistic passions stem from a desire to inform and educate her peers and community. Fowlkes currently serves as a Digital Optimization Intern for USA Today - Network and she has previously worked for The Rachel Maddow Show on MSNBC, WISC-3 TV News, Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Wisconsin State Journal, Isthmus and Madison Commons. Her positions have heightened her passions for politics, education, writing, and activism, and she is excited to continue growing as a writer and leader. In the fall, Tamia will begin her M.S. program at Columbia Journalism School.
