Biography

With 12 years in journalism, I've been writing passionately about art, culture, cinema, literature, travel, people, food and human interest issues. I gathered experience at The Telegraph in India and Gulf News in Dubai before quitting everything in 2016 to study film at UCLA, a course I couldn't complete for personal reasons. I've been working independently ever since, writing for exciting digital publications, editing for Bloomsbury India, and developing short films, web series and features with acclaimed Indian filmmakers. On the side, I love to learn new things, salsa, run, binge-watch films and TV shows, read, eat, travel and go on adventures like flying on the wing of a 1930s biplane. I aim to produce cutting-edge content across the web, and small and big screens that reflect the ways the world is changing. My short film Naked on online sexual harassment has crossed 11 million views on YouTube. I've also written a telefilm with Sujoy Ghosh, a popular Indian director. But my most enduring work remains journalistic, from stories on women making headway in fields like magic, poker and screenwriting, to profiles on impactful people flying under the radar. I love to shine the spotlight on trends and people who deserve recognition for causing ripples of change. I am open to interesting, challenging work and building lasting professional relationships.
