The accused, identified as Manish Lingwal, a resident of Subhash Park, Uttam Nagar, Delhi, was taken into custody from Gurugram. A complaint was lodged on August 21 wherein the complainant said that an unknown person reached out to him via Facebook, offering him to buy gold and silver jewellery at wholesale/discounted rates.

The Mumbai zonal unit of the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) seized the smuggled watches worth more than Rs 30 crore from the man’s residence last week. The DRI had received a tip-off that a person was in possession of more than 30 smuggled high-end premium watches of foreign brands at his residential premises.
