Taryn Jones joined CBS11 in December 2015. Born and raised in San Diego CA, Taryn attended the University of Arizona. Tucson is where she landed her first TV job and after a few years made a break for Texas. In 2012 she started working at CBS Austin. In addition to being a Marketing Writer and Producer behind the scenes- Taryn worked as an entertainment reporter and fill-in host on the lifestyle show, We Are Austin. Not afraid to get hands-on, Taryn even writes, produces, and edits her own segments. In 2016 Taryn made the move north and is now happy to call Dallas home. While not at the studio, Taryn loves checking out local live music, exploring different parts of North Texas, or hunting down the best slice of pizza in the Metroplex. Some of her favorite things are her two scruffy pups and horror movies so you might spot her in a dog park reading Stephen King… but don’t let that stop you from saying hi!
