Her health had been declining for years. She passed away Friday in New York City. She was the first woman to co-host the Today Show in 1974, and continued to lead the way for women in broadcasting when becoming the first female co-anchor of an evening news program on the ABC Evening News.

  • The Deauville Beach Resort in Miami Beach set to be imploded today | Y100 | Taylor Jukes

    By Taylor Jukes| WHYI-FM (Miami, FL) Verified The Deauville Beach Resort in Miami Beach, is set to be imploded this morning, after it was declared an unsafe structure back in 2017. The demolition is scheduled to take place at 8am this morning, Sunday November 13th, 2022. Collins Avenue between 65th and 70th street is closed for the demolition, and are expected to be reopened around 10am. The historic hotel has been closed since Hurricane Irma in 2017, when an engineering report deemed the building unsafe and said it was beyond repair.
