Biography

In some form or other, I've been writing about music since 2015. That was the year of my first contribution to UVA's alternative paper The Declaration: just a 250 word review blurb, but it sparked an obsession that led to countless more album write-ups, local show reviews, and interviews all the way up to graduation in May of 2017. For my last year with The Dec, I also served as arts section editor, coordinating pieces from student volunteers and designing layouts for our biweekly print editions. For the next four years, I wrote and edited my own music site, TheAllSceneEye.com, and in that time, I published over 400 more news, criticism, and interview pieces. Since 2021 I've been a freelancer writing for publications like Paste Magazine, Washington City Paper, Vinyl Me Please Magazine, FLOOD Magazine, Post-Trash, and Merry-Go-Round Magazine. I have an unquenchable passion for all music, but especially the out-of-the-way and underappreciated.
