Black Diplomats is a podcast about American foreign policy and politics from a Black perspective. We tackle complicated issues for a general audience and interview the experts who are ignored by mainstream media. The foreign affairs conversation is dominated by the same white men on every network and in every think tank, but we're breaking through that barrier with women and people of color who have the credentials, but don't get the opportunities. Host and founder Terrell J. Starr is a Russian-speaker and expert on the former Soviet bloc who travels to Eastern Europe regularly. He is a political journalist at The Root, America's largest Black media platform, and lecturer on how race impacts politics globally.
