Biography

Native to the Mohawk Valley in Central New York, Thad Randazzo graduated Magna Cum Laude from SUNY Polytechnic Institute in 2014 with a B.S. in Communication & Information Design and a minor in Technology in Culture. That same year, he was honored with the Communication Design Award for outstanding creative work by SUNY Poly faculty. Thad began his media career in 2019 as a camera operator for WUTR/WFXV in Utica, NY. During the pandemic, he was promoted to Web Content Coordinator and later recognized as a ‘Nexstar Digital Influencer’ in 2021 after growing the station’s loyal online audience by 235% in just one year. He most recently served as Digital Content Manager at WFXR in Roanoke, Virginia before joining the team at WWSB ABC 7 in Sarasota in July of 2025. Thad now leads the station’s digital strategy, guiding content development across web, mobile, social media, and CTV platforms — with a sharp eye for storytelling and audience engagement. Outside the newsroom, Thad is diving deep into the world of generative AI. He holds certifications in Prompt Engineering, AI for Project Management, and Generative AI Applications, and regularly experiments with tools like AI-based assistants, data analysis agents, and image generation platforms. When he’s not working with headlines or AI, Thad’s a dad, competitive paintball player, motorcycle rider, mentor, and video game streamer.

Results of an autopsy performed by the Medical Examiner released on Monday, April 14, confirmed that the body found on Richmond Highway near Mountain Cut Road on March 19 belonged to Gary Joseph Parsons of Appomattox, who went missing in 2022.   • School buses involved in minor accident in Montgomery County
