My name is Tim Markel. I’m a concert/landscape photographer, videographer, and journalist from Southern California. I began my digital photography journey in 1998 on an old, hand-me-down Casio QV-10. You can usually find me in front of the barricade shooting punk, rock, or hardcore musicians but I am also deeply passionate about nature photography. One of my main objectives when shooting photos is to capture hyper-detailed, intimate, portrait images that separate the subject from its environment.
