I say this not to deter you from attending but to let you know that “Crazy Mama,” a play by Ojai resident Sharon Scott Williams currently onstage at the Rubicon Theatre, is a serious portrayal of mental illness. And while it may have some elements of humor to it, it’s not intended to be comical, facetious or sly. It’s painful. Good Lord, is it painful, especially if you’ve dealt with this in your own family. For children, it’s particularly devastating.
