I see that out here on the road. you might meet a man. He’s about your age. His clothes and skin and hairand truck anddog are all the same color,the color of desert dust.

Between Fredericksburg and El Paso, Eric and I traveled over 600 miles, wandering around the Big Bend region and through remote parts of West Texas, mostly on sparsely traveled two-lane roads. I crave the lonely places, and West Texas does not disappoint in that department.
