Biography

Tracy Mitchell Griggs began her publishing career in California at The Hollywood Reporter where she managed multiple advertising sales channels including the publication’s real estate section. After 16 years, she bid adieu to sunny Los Angeles, and returned to her Mid Atlantic roots where she switched tracks to focus her career on the editorial side of publishing. After writing about a Baltimore historic home located in the city’s leafy Roland Park neighborhood, she developed a specialization in residential construction, luxury homes and interiors. Her work has been featured in the Washington Examiner, The Washington Post, Capital Gazette, Chesapeake Bay Magazine and numerous consumer and trade publications. She moved into travel writing for Waterfront Home & Design magazine and was then recruited by a Fortune 600 media corporation to launch the company’s first consumer publications for their Annapolis and Baltimore markets. Along the way, she resumed her love of photography, and developed photo styling skills, working with the region’s top architecture and interiors photographers. Griggs currently writes about aging, health care, medicine, and medical technology for consumer, trade, and nonprofit media. Recent features covered brain donation, dementia and OTC hearing aids. Ms Griggs tackles every assignment with professional curiosity, bringing fresh perspectives and resources to each story. In her spare time, you’ll likely find her exploring oyster bars and craft breweries on the DelMarva Peninsula.
