According to criminal complaints within the case, the Carroll Police Department was contacted by a victim who said they had been talking to James Cranston, 44, of Odebolt. The victim said they were talking to Cranston over the mobile app Snapchat and told him they are 15 years old. According to court documents, Cranston sent sexually explicit messages to the victim.
