Incumbent Sylvia Ortiz-Velez faces challenger Enrique Murguia. There's no Republican candidate in the race so the primary winner will win the Nov. 5 general election. The 8th Assembly District includes neighborhoods south of downtown Milwaukee, with the Menomonee River as the northern boundary.

Daniel Feyen, the incumbent in the 18th Senate District, faces Timothy Ramthun, a former state Assembly representative and 2022 candidate for governor. The winner will take on Democrat Michael Rapp in the Nov. 5 general election.
