Troy graduated from California State University Northridge with a Bachelor's Degree in Communication. In college, Troy worked as a news assistant for KABC, the ABC affiliate in Los Angeles, CA. He has reported on Mexican drug cartel violence on the El Paso/ Juarez border, nuclear testing facilities at the Idaho National Laboratory and severe Winter weather in Michigan. Troy has two rescue dogs from shelters in California and Texas. He loves to take them for long walks while discovering his new city.
