Biography
I am an avid learner and a writer through-and-through. That doesn't mean I don't also produce multimedia content, however, as I minored in Cinema Studies to go along with my Journalism & Communications degree from the University of Oregon. I'm an accomplished videographer and photographer, and I've even delved a little into the audio world, editing interviews and producing short podcast content. Rather, I just mean that my happy place will always be while I'm writing, taking a bunch of information and distilling it down into the human elements, crafting engaging stories that resonate with people and speak truth to power. It's like the rest of the world falls away when I crack my knuckles and start to type, type, type away. In addition to 6+ years working in local newsrooms in Oregon, I also started my own local arts news company, Curbside Press (www.curbsidepress.org). This helps combine my passion for art of all kinds with my talents as a local journalist. My other interests include: scifi/fantasy content of all kinds, baseball (Go Cubs!), college football, hikes, craft beer and la musica (my Spanish is conversational at best).

By Troy Shinn Verified| Hillsboro News Times Verified Hillsboro’s southside continues to develop into a bustling residential district for the city, and that means more and more families with household dogs. Camp Bow Wow, an all-service dog boarding house on Cornelius Pass Road, seeks to provide these families with peace of mind for their furry friends. The Hillsboro branch opened in March 2020, and its close proximity to the new Reed's Crossing development appealed to owner James Nash. kAm“(:E9 2== E96 56G6=@A>6?E :?
