By Tyler Friel| WISR 680 AM Radio@ The Butler Area School District will be taking action against invasive pests this week. On Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. employees of TruGreen will be treating select areas at the Butler Senior High School and the Intermediate High School weather permitting. Products to be used include Barricade Pre-Emergent and fertilizer as well as Escalade 2 weed control. Areas that will be treated will be posted at each site.
By Tyler Friel| WISR 680 AM Radio@ Health officials in Erie say the county has an outbreak of measles. Two more cases of measles were confirmed on Monday, bringing the total number of cases to five in recent weeks. Officials say the newest cases are a result of “direct exposures” from a person who tested positive for measles. Since the last three cases have been classified that way, the health department has listed it as an outbreak. However, health leaders say the risk of community spread remains low.
