  • Mackinaw traffic slowed by oversize truck incident

By Tyler Lopez Verified| WEEK-TV (Peoria, IL) Verified PEORIA (25News Now) - A semi-truck with an oversized load clipped a power line over Route 9 on Wednesday afternoon, leading to traffic issues in Tazewell County. It was around 5:30 p.m. when a 25News staffer saw two oversize trucks stopped near the Casey’s between Mackinaw and Minier, with what appeared to be a damaged electrical box in the road. As a result, traffic on Route 9 was stopped in both directions. Our crew members estimated it was stopped for roughly half an hour.
