The Lindys debuted their jazz team in Monticello, Jan. 15. The Little Falls varsity jazz team finished in sixth place out of nine teams in its very first competition. According to head coach Jeannie Rudbeck, Little Falls was without a pair of seniors who were in quarantine for COVID-19, and one freshman also did not compete after recently returning from quarantine.

The Pioneers and Dutchmen were tied at halftime, but a strong second half from Pierz led to the win. Senior Emily Ann Dehler led the way for Pierz with team-bests in points (18) and rebounds (eight). Pierz also received strong performances from seniors Alissa Girtz (10 points) and Courtney Strohmeier (nine points, six rebounds).
