Urmila Ramakrishnan is a multimedia journalist who embraces the hyphen. As a freelance writer for Guerrero Howe Custom Media, people are the focus of her work. Everyone has a story, and Ramakrishnan has the unique ability to encourage sources to let their guards down and show their personal sides, warts and all. For her, journalism is about understanding and telling a story that's relatable and memorable–whether that's a war hero or a CEO. She's currently the producer for The Press, San Francisco Chronicle's new tasting room and Wine Country destination guide.
