The school board voted 8-0 on Thursday to reinstate Tracey R. Weller in accordance with a decision by the Commonwealth Court. It’s unclear what her new position will be, or what she will be paid. Weller, of Lancaster, served as high school principal from 2012 to 2018 and was earning at least $82,250, according to Republican Herald archives.

  • Tri-Valley Community Pool set to reopen this year, Hegins Township supervisors say

    By Vicki Terwilliger Verified| Republican Herald Verified VALLEY VIEW — The Hegins Township supervisors announced Wednesday that they plan to reopen the Tri-Valley Community Pool this year. The facility did not operate last season because of the COVID-19 pandemic and pool repairs and upgrades, including a new handicap-accessible ramp. Linda Morgan, pool manager, told the supervisors she would like to begin the season on Memorial Day weekend. However, the supervisors have yet to set an actual date as some minor work must first be completed.
