    By Vickie Sandlin Verified, Julesburg Advocate| Julesburg Advocate Verified The end is approaching for the last surviving tree within the initial two blocks of Cedar Street in Julesburg. As recently as 10 to 15 years ago, trees lined the downtown business area. The earliest of these were planted before 1992—possibly around a decade earlier, according to former town manager Allen Coyne. He mentioned that the intention was to replace them every 20 to 25 years, but due to a lack of interest in replanting, they were ultimately removed between 2010 and 2015.
