He was a statesman, a UN Ambassador, Secretary of Energy, Governor of New Mexico, presidential candidate, and in January of 2017 he was a gracious guest of NewsTaco’s Deciocho Podcast. Richard Cavazos, a highly decorated war veteran and first Latino four-star general. Gen. Richard Cavazos was a Mexican-American bo0rn in Kingsville, Texas. He commanded the III Corps, headquartered at Fort Hood. Hw was the first Latino four-star general in the army.
