This describes Vimbai Mutinhiri all at once. Vimbai started her career off at just 15 years old as an actress in Zimbabwe, in a short film titled “Who’s In Charge”, with the movie featuring at the Zimbabwe International Film Festival. She also went on to play a lead role in Zimbabwe’s first soapie titled “Studio 263”. Her talents did not stop there, while completing a Bachelor of Social Science in Politics, Philosophy and Economics at the University of Cape Town, she continued modeling doing major campaigns for Zain, MTV Base, and Bio Oil to name a few. In 2011, Vimbai found herself propelled onto TV screens across Africa when she took part in the highly acclaimed Big Brother Africa season 6 (Amplified). This brought to the forefront her already many achievements, and reinforced her presence within Africa. After Big Brother, she was quickly scooped up as the new presenter for the latest continental entertainment and lifestyle show to hit our screens, “Star Gist”, which screens every weekday evening at 7:30CAT on Africa Magic Entertainment. The show is aired across Africa, and this has seen the interest in Vimbai sky-rocket. As a result of her bubbly personality, charismatic presence and passion for African entertainment, she has gone on to host some of the biggest events on the continent, the highlight of which was the first ever Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards broadcast live to 54 countries from Lagos, Nigeria. There is no doubt that the sky is not the limit for this shining star!
