District Judge Sudhir Kumar has sentenced two brothers guilty of killing a farmer on his farm four years ago to life imprisonment and a fine of Rs 30,000. The prosecution was represented by DGC Virendra Kumar Mishra. Ramprakash, resident of Hamirpur village of Dannahar police station, was murdered on the night of June 6 when he was lying on his farm.

In the accident, a young man died on the spot, while his companion was seriously injured. The police have admitted the injured to a private hospital. Angry villagers and relatives blocked traffic on the highway. When the police tried to pick up the dead body, a scuffle broke out among the villagers.
