Cervical cancer is one of the most preventable cancers, and doctors in Namibia are advocating greater access to healthcare and the human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine to reduce the prevalence of the disease. November 2009 was a turning point in the life of Barbara Kamba-Nyathi. At the age of 29 she was diagnosed with stage three cervical cancer.
