  • First Alert Forecast: Cooler tonight, but a warming trend begins Wednesday

By Wade Hampton| KPLC-TV (Lake Charles, LA ) Verified LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - A weak cold front moved through early Tuesday bringing drier air into SWLA. Dry air will allow temperatures to fall quickly overnight. Tuesday night into Wednesday morning lows will drop into 40s and 50s, but even this “cool down” will not last long. Southerly winds return Wednesday and that pushes the humidity up and morning temperatures will remain at or above north through the rest of the week.

  • First Alert Forecast: Warming trend underway, but will the weather remain nice through the weekend?

By Wade Hampton| KPLC-TV (Lake Charles, LA ) Verified LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - Southerly winds return Wednesday and that means a warming trend will begin. Tuesday was a beautiful one with lots of sunshine and that pushed highs into the low 70s in most areas. Clear skies and calm winds will allow temperatures to drop quickly overnight with lows Wednesday morning once again in the 40s, so you’ll probably want a jacket as you head out to work or school.
