Biography
I'm a reporter for the Cape Cod Times where my beat is ostensibly the a-little-bit-of-everything one, but my job description reads transportation and military. I was an associate editor for the City News section of The Daily Free Press, where I reported on Boston city news stories and edited articles for publication. During my tenure, I also worked on a long-term investigative project resulting in an official University investigation into the subject of the story. From Fall '20-Spring '21, I served as the news editor for The Mesa Press — SD Mesa College's student-run newspaper. I've appeared in the Boston Globe and contributed to an investigative project for GBH News. I graduated summa cum laude from Boston University where I studied journalism and philosophy. Over time, I've cultivated an interest in covering government, legal affairs and public policy. I really enjoy working on long-term, data-driven investigative projects, but I'll be happy to cover whatever you give me. Tips? Work? Twitter: @jd__walker
