Biography

A writer now based in Seville, after 20 years in Beirut, Warren Singh-Bartlett is the Middle East editor for London’s design, architecture and lifestyle magazine, Wallpaper. A freelance writer, his work has also appeared in a number of other publications including Tank, the Financial Times, the Handelsblatt, the New York Times, the New York Post, the Wall Street Journal, Harper’s Bazaar Arabia, DestinAsian and American Express’ Departures magazine. Singh-Bartlett is the author of four guidebooks published in the Wallpaper/Phaidon Press Cityguides series - Dubai, Honolulu, New Delhi and Beirut - a collection of anecdotes, urban legends and unusual facts about Beirut entitled Bet You Didn’t Know This About Beirut, is co-author of Lebanese architect Nabil Gholam’s retrospective, EastWest and most recently, a collection of photos and microstories based on his Instagram account entitled Getting Lost in Lebanon. He has also written for television and is moving into photography and videography.
