Biography
I am an expert in all things editorial--from editing and writing to copy editing---as well as user-experience consulting for websites. I cover arts, culture and human interest stories in New York and beyond. Before starting my own company, I was online editor of Crain’s New York Business for eight years and have written features for Crain’s, The New York Times (the article was reprinted for a global audience in the International Herald Tribune) and Women's Health magazine. My nonprofit experience includes communications and UX consulting for the American Civil Liberties Union. Most recently, I wrote about the rediscovery of self-taught artist Morris Hirshfield for the arts and culture publication Brooklyn Rail, whose international readership is over 250,000). Other recent stories focused on developments at institutions such as the American Museum of Natural History and the New-York Historical Society. I am also a poet and photographer. As an advertising copywriter, I have worked on campaigns for clients including Chock full o’ Nuts and Absolut Vodka and created an award-winning PSA for Citymeals-on-Wheels. I also edit books and websites for private clients.
