So far in 2024, the park has hosted 2,626,091 recreation visits, up 7% from 2023 (2,462,535 recreation visits), and down 2% from 2021 (2,668,765 recreation visits).

  • UPDATE: Clearwater Fire Has Consumed 138 Acres, Zero Percent Containment

Dubbed the “Clearwater Fire,” located 11 miles west of Wapiti, the fire has consumed 138 acres and has 0% containment. Currently, there are 94 people who are monitoring the fire which is still in a remote part of Park County, located on a ridge line between the Elk Fork and June Creek drainages, approximately one mile south of Clearwater Campground.
