The Texas Press Association asked me to testify on House Bill 1080, which would allow taxing entities, in some instances, to satisfy the legal notice posting requirement by sharing information about actions such as tax rate hikes, bond issues or notices of election on their own websites or their own Facebook pages instead of in newspapers and on newspaper websites.
