Freeze warnings have been issued as a precaution for areas west and north of Pitt County Wednesday morning. Some areas could see temperatures reach the 30s as early as midnight. Frost develops under clear skies and light winds as temperatures fall into the mid-30s. A weak north breeze may increase slightly after midnight keeping many in the upper 30s or 40s. Our average last freeze for Greenville is March 23rd.
