Just before 7 p.m. on Sunday, officers responded to a collision on Highway 401, near Newtonville Road, in the Municipality of Port Hope. Police say two vehicles were involved, with one of the drivers being airlifted to a Toronto-area trauma centre with life-threatening injuries.

In their letter, Heather Smith and councillor Barbara Enright-Miller says the board will be receiving $217,445 less than what it received in 2024. This despite expenses incurred through the CSPT program continue to go up.
