The lawsuit, filed Tuesday in federal court, claims the Department of Homeland Security violated the students’ Fifth Amendment due process rights by canceling their F-1 student visas without notice or a chance to respond.

The U.S. Department of State recently canceled visas forat least 600 studentsat more than 100 colleges and universities, according to Inside Higher Ed.“As is the case with universities across the country, Purdue has been in contact with any individual who has been impacted by a change in their visa status,” thestatementread.
