Biography
For the past 20 years, I've written for various publications, covering a variety of topics, including breaking news, entertainment news, politics, culture, lifestyle, parenting, women's issues, and spirituality. I've also held editor positions, overseeing a staff of writers, photographers, and working closely with managers, publicists, and talent. In 2015, I launched my company 3L Communiqué to fill the void of Latinas in executive event producer roles. I immediately began producing high-profile programming for the National Association of Hispanic Journalists, and the League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC). This March will mark six years as executive event producer for LULAC's annual Legislative Awards Gala. In addition to creating the flow of each program, I write all the scripts for hosts, awards presenters, and LULAC leadership. In 2021, I produced LULAC's first-ever virtual awards gala, followed by their first in-person event since the pandemic, the National Women's Conference, wrapping up the year with the Tech Summit in Dec. In 2019, I launched my second business, Mindful Living with Z where I provide spiritual services as a Reiki Master-Teacher, meditation guide, spiritual mentor, yoga instructor, and intuitive tarot reader. This work attracted publications like POPSUGAR Latina and Parents Latina. I currently write for both publications. Regardless of what my primary work has been over the years, I've always been a writer. Writing is my passion and something I not only want to do, but need to do to live a fulfilled life. I am a writer through and through. Words are powerful and the right ones can change the world.
