By Zoe Morgan| Redwood City Pulse Verified Redwood City police arrested a 19-year-old San Bruno man on Wednesday, April 16, on suspicion of committing robbery at Sequoia Station the previous day. Redwood City police officers were dispatched to the shopping center just before 6 p.m. on Tuesday after a shoplifting suspect displayed a firearm when security personnel tried to detain him, according to a police department press release. The suspect fled prior to the arrival of police officers, who were unable to locate him, the release said.

By Zoe Morgan| Mountain View Voice Verified Foothill College’s KFJC radio station is scheduled to host its ninth Battle of the Surf Bands event today, April 19, at the Smithwick Theatre on the community college’s campus, 12345 El Monte Road, Los Altos Hills. The event will begin at 2 p.m. and feature local surf bands playing short sets of music. Attendees are requested to make a $20 donation, which supports the radio station. Parking is free in Foothill’s campus lots. The battle will also be broadcast live on 89.7 FM and online at kfjc.org.
